Toxic squash syndrome is a thing
While it's not likely that your zucchini or cucumbers are awake at night in your garden plot.... plotting.... to take you out, toxic squash syndrome is something you should at least know about and be prepared for.
Cause comes from a bitter compound in wild squash evolved to ward off predators. So if your squash, pumpkin or cuke leaf babies taste extra bitter and put down that fork lest you suffer:
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Headache & dizziness
- Hair loss
- Death
